The International Swimming Federation is considering a new venue to host next year's world short course championships because of the financial crisis afflicting Dubai.
The Austrian Federation has already declined an offer to host the event amid growing concerns about the extent of the crisis in Dubai and the emirate's consequent ability to host major events.
FINA will make a final decision next month.
