For the second week in a row the New Zealand Breakers have been overtaken at the death to suffer a 106-100 loss to the Perth Wildcats in their Australian National Basketball League match on the North Shore.

29 points to Kirk Penney and 19 to CJ Bruton had the Breakers up by 17 at one stage in the third quarter, but the Wildcats outscored the Breakers 38-22 in the final quarter to steal the match as both Penney and Bruton made mistakes.

Last week the Breakers were overhauled by Wollongong in the final minute.

The Wildcats remain top of the standings with a 9 and 5 record, while the Breakers are sixth with a 7 and 8 record.
