Forward Mika Vukona did not travel to the weekend's pre-season Blitz tournament in Brisbane after suffering a back injury, while Tom Abercrombie did travel, but didn't play after having scans on a knee injury.

The centre Alex Pledger played limited minutes on his return to the court from a foot injury that kept him out of the World Cup, while Corey Webster did play, despite continuing to struggle with an ankle injury.

The trip is the first time the import big man Ekene Ibekwe will suit up for the Breakers along with Guam international Tai Wesley.

It was also the return for the former MVP Cedric Jackson, who's returned to the club after a year away.
