A 10-minute blitz got the Springboks home for the bonus point win as the Wallabies fell apart on defence.

A 70th minute drop goal from replacement first five Pat Lambie put the hosts in front after both sides had scored a try apiece, then captain Jean De Villers scored a 72nd minute try before Lambie crossed to seal the win two minutes from time.

De Villers iced the victory - and what could be a crucial bonus point - with another try just after the hooter.

Midfielder Adam Ashley-Cooper's try gave the Wallabies the half-time 10-5 lead after Springboks back-rower Marcell Coetzee opened the scoring.

The All Blacks play Argentina later on Sunday morning at La Plata, needing a bonus point victory to seal a third straight title.
