Six weeks after she was originally confirmed, the Belgian tennis player Yanina Wickmayer has been re-confirmed for the ASB Classic womens tennis tournament in Auckland .

A suspension imposed on Wickmayer by the Flemish National Doping Organisation regarding the 'whereabouts' rule has been lifted by a Belgian civil court and backed by the Internation Tennis Federation pending further appeal.

The world number 16 says being able to play is the best possible Christmas present and she's looking forward to starting 2010 at the ASB Classic in Auckland.

Wickmayer will be the tournament third seed and she is one of five world top 20 players. Flavia Pennetta of Italy is number 12, Li Na of China is ranked 15th, Francesca Schiavone of Italy is 17th and Virginie Razzano of France 19th.

Wickmayer has accepted a wildcard entry with the two others going to New Zealanders Sacha Jones and Marina Erakovic.
