Breakers keep doing it on the road

6:26 am on 20 December 2009

The New Zealand Breakers' good road form continues in the Australian basketball league with a 77-68 victory at Melbourne - their third straight away win.

The Breakers led 39-37 at half-time.

Centre Rick Rickert top scored for the Breakers with 16 points while Tony Ronaldson and Kirk Penney both chipped in with 13 each.

The Tigers remain bottom but the win hasn't done much for the Breakers either, following their poor home form. Three straight losses in Auckland mean they remain sixth with a 50 percent win-loss ratio.
