Carter's return to rugby has again been delayed, he missed out on selection for Canterbury's ITM Cup Premiership semi-final at Tasman tomorrow as he struggles with the leg he broke earlier this year.
Hansen says Carter is training, but is unable to take a knock on the leg before nerves in the limb fully heal.
