The England international Graham Napier's clubbed an unbeaten 73 off 29 balls, including five sixes, to guide Central Districts to a three wicket win over Northern Districts in the one day domestic cricket competition.
Needing 301 to win, Napier came to the crease with the score at 219 for seven.
Meanwhile Auckland's beaten Wellington by 81 runs. Set 231 to win Wellington was dismissed for 149.
The match featured the return of former Black Cap Lou Vincent, but he made just six opening the batting for Auckland.
