Ko has locked up the honor with three events remaining on the LPGA schedule thanks to a season highlighted by two wins, two seconds and nine other top-10 finishes.

Currently ranked number three in the world, Ko had already won two titles on the LPGA Tour as an amateur, and she's never missed a cut on the tour.
