Rohit hits another double ton

The Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has become the first batsman in history to record two one day international double-centuries, and has also broken the record for the highest score in the 50-over international game.

Rohit scored 264 off 173 balls as India scored 404 for five and then went on to beat Sri Lanka by 153 runs in the fourth one-day international at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The previous highest score in an international ODI was 219 by fellow Indian Virender Sehwag,

Rohit was dismissed off the last ball of the Indian innings and his knock included 33 fours and 9 sixes.

It is the fifth time India has scored more than 400 runs in an ODI.

India lead the series 4-0.
