Extra time will no longer be used to decide regular season matches in netball's trans-Tasman competition.
Previously where matches were level at full-time, an extra seven minutes each way was played to get a result.
If the scores were still level after extra time the match continues until one team was two goals clear of their opponent.
From next year both teams will be awarded a point each if the match is drawn.
If necessary, extra time will only be played during the Conference Finals and the finals series.
The competition format has already been changed for 2015 with the introduction of New Zealand and an Australian conferences.
There will also be an extended six-team play-off series and a Challenge Trophy.
New Zealand teams will continue to play home and away games against one another as well as games against the five Australian teams.
The finals series will see the three top teams from each conference advance to the playoffs.
The second and third ranked team will play an elimination final, with the winner going on to play the top qualifier to decide the winner of the conference.
The top four teams will then advance to the semi-finals, which will be hosted by the conference winners.
The grand final will be hosted by the team which scores the most competition points during the season.
A Challenge Trophy, similar to rugby's Ranfurly Shield will also be contested.
The initial holder for 2015 will be determined by ballot, and they will then have to defend the trophy in each home game.
