Jamaican swimmer breaks new ground

Jamaican swimming has been celebrating its first world champion over the weekend.

Alia Atkinson made history for her country, the 25-year-old winning gold at the world short course swimming championships in Doha.

Atkinson made up a length on Lithuania's Ruta Meilutyte on the final length of the 100 metres breaststroke, touching out the Olympic champion to claim the gold by one-tenth of a second.
