Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein of Jordan has confirmed he will stand for the presidency of world football's governing body FIFA later this year.

The current FIFA vice-president says he had been encouraged to stand in the May elections in Zurich against incumbent Sepp Blatter and challenger Jerome Champagne.
He says he is seeking the presidency of FIFA because he believes it's time to shift the focus away from administrative controversy and back to sport.
He says the decision came after many discussions with respected FIFA colleagues, where the message he heard repeatedly was that it is time for a change.
Prince Ali says the sport deserves a world-class governing body that is a service organisation and a model of ethics, transparency and good governance.
