Waikato golfer Steve Alker shot a hole in one at the latest PGA Tour event, but he still didn't make the third-round cut.

Alker, who aced the 14th hole, wasn't alone in missing the cut at Pebble Beach.
Fellow New Zealanders Tim Wilkinson and Danny Lee also failed to hit the difficult cut mark of six under par, all three were one agonising stroke outside the cut-off point.
Alker hit a three-under 69 while Wilkinson was one-over on 73 and Lee shot a four-under 68.
The American Jim Furyk leads on 18 under following a sizzling nine-under 63.
