The win keeps the Breakers' hopes alive of finishing top of the National Basketball League table.

Jackson hit the half court three-pointer at the end of double overtime to ensure the Breakers will go into this weekend's showdown against the leading Cairns Taipans with a chance to jump into the No.1 position.

The lead changed hands 11 times in the two periods of overtime last night, after the scores had been tied at 68-all at the end of regular time.

Breakers assistant coach Paul Henare wasn't suprised by the Point guard's winner.

"You know you live for those moments and you know he had the ball in his hands to make plays a lot going down the stretch but you know he was great and you just got to love what he brings to the game."

Cairns will go into the final round with one more win than the Breakers who need to win by 26 points on Sunday at Vector Arena to grab top spot.
