The incident happened in the 24th minute of the match which the Stormers won 27-16.

The judicial officer found the incident to have a low-range entry point which stipulates a two-week suspension..... that was then reduced by one week due to Triggs' prompt admission of guilt, remorse for his actions and excellent disciplinary record in over 10 years of playing professional rugby.

Triggs will miss Saturday morning's match against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

Yesterday the Highlanders prop Kane Hames was suspended for five weeks for striking opposing lock Dominic Bird, in their home Super Rugby loss to the Crusaders.

The Crusaders and All Blacks prop Owen Franks was also cited for striking in a seperate incident in the match, but the outcome of that is yet to be announced.
