New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic's run at the prestigious Indian Wells WTA tournament in California is over.
Erakovic lost a three-set second round of the singles to Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky, who beat the Aucklander 4-6 6-3 6-2.
Erakovic had eased past 20-year-old American Grace Min in straight sets 6-3 6-1 in her first round match, before losing her opening doubles tie with Spaniard Arantxa Parra Santonja, the Spaniards Garbiñe Muguruza and Carla Suárez Navarro knocking them out 6-1 6-4.
