The Central Pulse trans-Tasman netball franchise has confirmed that 2015 will be the last season for coach Robyn Broughton.

During her four years in charge, the team has been transformed from perennial strugglers to genuine contenders, finishing just outside the playoff positions each year.

Netball Central Zone and Pulse chairperson Sue Gordon says they've been extremely fortunate to have the services of Broughton, and to be able to draw upon her wealth of knowledge and expertise.

Gordon says Broughton has made a significant difference to their team for which they'll always be grateful.

She says it is crucial that they look long-term at the head coach position to be able to build on the good work that Broughton has already achieved.

Broughton previously coached the Southern Sting in the National Bank Cup.

She replaced inaugural Pulse coach Yvette McCausland-Durie in 2012.
