New Zealand Rugby League has extended the Kiwis coach Stephen Kearney's contract for a further two years, and he will now lead the national men's side into the 2017 World Cup.
Kearney's existing contract was due to end this year but, after masterminding last year's successful Four Nations campaign, the former Kiwis captain will now become the first national coach to spend an entire decade at the helm.

The 42-year-old was first appointed in 2008, when he guided the team to the World Cup.
And when Kearney leads the Kiwis into the Anzac Test on May the 1st, he will become the longest continuously serving national coach.
Scotty McClymont's tenure spanned from 1938 to 1952, but his term included years where no teams played during World War II, and two other teams toured without coaches appointed.
