Hurricanes basking in top spot

The Hurricanes are back into camp and can enjoy the bye this weekend as their Super Rugby rivals try to catch them.

The unbeaten side will remain top of the New Zealand conference no matter what happens with this round's results, with the second placed Chiefs also having a bye.

The Hurricanes coach Chris Boyd said everyone except them is talking about their seven game winning streak to start the season.

"We haven't really delved into how many points we need. We haven't once talked about where we're sitting in the log or who's second or who's third or where we're playing," he said.

"All we've done is just turn up prepared to play against the team we're playing that week."
