The home team outscored the visitors five tries to four including a brace to Melani Nanai.

Despite using three different goal kickers the Blues converted all their tries and two of their three penalty attempts, while the Force missed three of their five shots on goal.

The victory, just the second for the Blues in 11 games this season, came at cost with Jerome Kaino, Charles Piutau and Daniel Bowden leaving the field with injury.

The Force are last on the 15 team table and the Blues one place above them.
