The Super Rugby competition leaders the Hurricanes will be without four All Blacks for their match against the South African side the Sharks in Wellington on Satuday night.

Hooker Dane Coles suffered a calf strain in the win over the Crusaders, while earlier this week it was confirmed Beauden Barrett will be out for four weeks with a knee ligament injury.

Hurricanes coach Chris Boyd has also decided to rest winger Julian Savea and halfback TJ Perenara as part of the compulsory two-game standown the All Blacks must have ahead of the World Cup.

Matt Proctor will start on the left wing and Chris Smylie at halfback.

Back though is All Black loose forward Victor Vito, who has missed the past three matches with a calf injury.

Manawatu prop Chris Eves will finally make his first run-on start for the side. Having already played 21 games off the bench, he replaces Reg Goodes in the starting lineup.

New Zealand under-20 vice captain Otere Black has returned from the Oceania Rugby Junior Championship to take a spot on the bench.
