New Zealand's Joelle King has made a winning return to the WSA women's world squash tour.
The 26-year-old Kiwi has beaten American qualifier Sabrina Sobhy 11-8 11-9 11-4 in the opening round of the prestigious British Open in Hull.
It was a solid return for the former world number four, who has been out of action since rupturing her Achilles tendon at the New Zealand National Championships in August last year.
10th-seeded King will face England's Victoria Lust in round two at 11pm on Thursday (NZT). Lust is through after she took full advantage of her wild card entry to upset 8th seeded Egyptian Omneya Abdel Kawy 11-4 11-8 13-11.
