Another four athletes have been added to the New Zealand team for the World Athletics Championships in Beijing in August.

Middle distance runner Nikki Hamblin, race-walker Alana Barber, discus thrower Siositina Hakeai and 400m hurdler Michael Cochrane join the eight athletes previously selected, with a further announcement due before the championships.
Hamblin has bettered both the IAAF Entry Standard and the Athletics New Zealand A Selection Standard for the 500 metres within the qualifying period.
Barber has achieved the IAAF Entry Standard and is nominated on the basis that she is deemed to have the potential of a top 16 placing at the Rio Olympic Games.
Cochrane and Hakeai have received an IAAF invitation to compete in this year's World Championships by virtue of winning their events in the recent Oceania Championships in Cairns and are nominated on the basis that they are deemed to have the potential of a top 16 placing at the Rio Olympic Games.
The final selection announcement will be made on August 11th. This selection will include any further athletes who reach the qualifying criteria and additionally may include athletes who receive IAAF invitations.
The championships will be held in the famous Olympic Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing 22 - 30 August.
