Malawi international Mwai Kumwenda has extended her playing contract with the Mainland Tactix and signed on for a third trans-Tasman netball campaign in 2016.
Kumwenda joins Silver Ferns triallist Gemma Hazeldine and youngsters Nicola Mackle and Olivia Coughlan as the first four players to ink their signatures on the Tactix roster for next season.
The 25 year old Kumwenda was named Best New Talent of the league in 2014.
In 2015 she finished with a 91 per cent average over 13 matches, second to the Mystics shooter Cathrine Latu.
The Tactix could only win one game from 13 in 2015 and finished on the bottom of the table.
