Adams has been on a tough rehabilitation programme since recovering from shoulder and elbow surgery in September last year.

She is expected to return to competition soon, although no firm date has been set for her first action.

The next Diamond League shot put event is in Paris in 2 weeks and then in London at the end of July.

The World and Olympic champion hopes to compete in a couple of Diamond League meetings before the World Champs in Beijing in August, with next year's Olympics her main aim.

Adam's manager Nick Cowan says she's tracking perfectly and remains firmly on target to return to competition very soon... that decision will be made on her return to Switzerland and discussions with her coach Jean-Pierre Egger.

Cowan says the 30-year-old has been making very positive gains over the last few weeks.
