Boult, who is behind Australian Mitchell Starc and South African Imran Tahir, is the only Black Cap in the top ten.

He missed the later part of the one-day series loss to England because of injury.

Matt Henry was the biggest mover among the bowlers, rising 22 places to number 43.

In the batting rankings, Kane Williamson's tally of 396 runs in the five matches against England (featuring scores of 93, 118, 90, 50 and 57) has resulted in the 24-year-old moving up one place to sixth.

Williamson now lies just seven points behind Sri Lanka's Tillikaratne Dilshan.

Ross Taylor has moved up two places into ninth after scoring 375 runs in the England series.

AB de Villiers of South Africa tops the batting rankings from Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka and Hashim Amla of South Africa.

England's Joe Root has climbed 5 places to number 11.
