The Wellington Phoenix striker Nathan Burns is set to join Japanese FC Tokyo.
The Phoenix general manager David Dome says the the club has accepted an offer FC Tokyo and Burns is heading to Japan to complete a medical.

"We expected this to happen given the season Nathan had with us," Dome said.
"It became even more likely when he won the Johnny Warren medal for the best player in the A-League." he said.
Dome said coach Ernie Merrick "has been looking at alternatives for some time."
