Wood on target for West Brom

2:06 pm on 3 January 2010

All Whites striker Chris Wood has managed to get on the scoresheet as West Bromwich Albion progressed through to the fourth round the English football's FA Cup.

The 18 year old came on a substitute for the Baggie's and netted just his second goal for the club in the 82nd minute, to seal a two-nil win over Huddersfield Town.

World Cup hero Rory Fallon was also in action this morning, playing the full match as Plymouth Argyle held Championship leaders Newcastle United to a nil-all draw.

In the more high profile FA Cup encounters Liverpool has been forced into a third round replay, after they were held one-all by Championship strugglers Reading.

2008 FA Cup winners Portsmouth came from a goal behind to salvage a draw with Coventry City.

And in the all Premier League clashes, Aston Villa beat Blackburn Rovers 3-1 and Wigan came from behind to defeat Hull 4-1.
