Wickmayer to get ASB Classic started

Third seed, Belgium's Yanina Wickmayer, will open proceedings on centre court, when the ASB Tennis Classic starts later this morning in Auckland.

The women's world number 16 will face Julia Goerges of Germany, followed by top seed Flavia Pennetta of Italy who will take on American veteran Jill Craybas.

Meanwhile local hope Marine Erakovic is set for a tough workout later in the day with her Slovakian doubles partner Polona Hercog.

The wildcard pairing will confront top seeds, Cara Black and Liezel Huber.
