Stirling Mortlock back to full training next week

Former Australia rugby captain Stirling Mortlock is set to return to training with the Brumbies next week after missing most of the Tri Nations and the Wallabies' spring tour through injury.

The veteran suffered both knee and calf injuries which sidelined him for several months.

Mortlock says the past few months have been frustrating, but is feeling fit and will be back into full training with his Super 14 team next week where he hopes to re-establish himself in the Number 13 jersey.

The Brumbies will spend the next few weeks integrating players who have been on Wallabies duty back into the Super squad, and will play their first trial against the Hurricanes in Wellington at the end of the month.
