The All Blacks loose forward Kieran Read believes he's capable of getting the better of Wallabies flankers Michael Hooper and David Pocock.

Pocock and Hooper were instrumental in the Wallabies' 27-19 win over the All Blacks in the first Bledisloe Cup Test match on the weekend, and the two sides meet again this weekend at Eden Park in Auckland.

Read said the Wallabies flankers are world class athletes but the All Blacks are capable of beating them.

"We've got to be a lot quicker into the breakdown, we can't let our ball carrier get isolated.

"If we're winning the game line, if we're winning the battle of where this game's being played then it takes out what they're good at so we'll be on top and just be smart and aggressive with it as well."
