World Rugby has confirmed the World Cup will feature Hawk-Eye technology.

It said the move is to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the Television Match Official decision-making process and will also help medical teams assess potential injuries.
While the protocol will be unchanged relating to the questions that the referee asks of the TMO, the technology that the TMO will have access to is being enhanced with Hawk-Eye's SMART Replay technology.
World Rugby said the new technology will be able to add split screen and zoom features to existing camera angles.
It has been trialled in some European games this season and featured in England's win over France at Twickenham at the weekend.
