New Zealand shot putter Valerie Adams has been discharged from hospital following key hole surgery on her right knee.
Adams underwent the minor surgery late Monday for a bit of maintenance following her 2015 season.
The 30-year-old four-time world title holder and double Olympic gold medallist lost for the first time this season in 56 meetings, after undergoing shoulder and elbow surgery last year.
Adams will receive 8-12 weeks of rehabilitation, but is expected to be back training as early as next week.
