Fox finishes third in Geneva

The Auckland golfer Ryan Fox has finished third at the latest European Challenge Tour event in Geneva.

Fox began the final round in second place, two shots off the eventual winner, Nacho Elvira of Spain, who shot a five under par 67 to win by two strokes from Portugal's Ricardo Gouveia, who carded a 66.

Fox shot a two under par 70 fourth round.

He took the lead on the first day after a blistering 10-under opening round.

The Aucklander takes home more than $25,000 for the tournament.
