The new U.S F1 team to make track debut in Alabama

The new U.S. Formula One motor racing team will make their test debut in Alabama early next month before joining rivals in Europe.

The team's sporting director Peter Windsor says the first time they'll run the car will be in the United States as they have dispensation from the (governing) FIA because they aren't based in Europe.

The season starts in Bahrain on March 14 and Windsor envisaged three tests in America before further testing in Spain.

The Charlotte based team have yet to announce any drivers but Windsor says that was imminent.
