The Roosters are strong favourites for the first of four playoff matches, the side finished top of the NRL regular season ladder after beating last season's Premiership winners, the South Sydney Rabbitohs, 30-0 last weekend.

Melbourne themselves beat the second place Brisbane Broncos last week to make the top four ahead of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs who beat the New Zealand Warriors in their final regular season match on Sunday.

In the other finals matches, the Bulldogs host the St. George Illawara Dragons at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night, the battle of Queensland takes place in Brisbane when the Broncos meet the Cowboys and on Sunday, the Cronulla Sharks go head to head with the Rabbitohs.
