New Zealand's Under-19 cricketers have completed preparations for this week's Under-19 World Cup with a solid five-wicket win over England at St Andrew's College in Christchurch.

Despite only having played a handful of warm-up games, coach Chris Kuggeleijn says the team, who are ranked third, has a good chance of claiming the title if the players can quickly adjust to one another's styles.

New Zealand play their first pool game against Canada on Saturday.
