Adelaide 36ers fined after outburst

10:02 am on 21 January 2010

The Adelaide 36ers have been fined $1000 for breaching Australian National Basketball League rules after coach Scott Ninnis argued with match officials during their 89-87 loss to the Melbourne Tigers on the weekend.

After the match Ninnis called a crucial refereeing decision in the third quarter "disgraceful".

Only $500 of the fine is to be paid now, with the remainder only payable if Ninnis is found guilty of breaking the league rules again within the next 12 months.

The New Zealand Breakers host the Adelaide 36ers at the North Shore Events Centre on Thursday.
