New Zealand golf's world number one Lydia Ko achieved a top-10 finish at the latest LPGA tour event in China, despite starting the tournament with one of the worst opening rounds of her career.
Eighteen-year-old Ko started the event with five dropped shots in her first six holes, but she improved with every round.
She finished with a 2-under par 70 to end up in a tie for 8th place, six shots behind the South Korean winner Sei Young Kim, who prevailed in a 4-way playoff.
On the men's tour Rotorua's Danny Lee withdrew from his final round at the CIMB classic in Malaysia.
