New Zealand has a mix of proven and potential in the track cycling squad to contest the

The 13-strong contingent is led by the pursuit world champion Alison Shanks, with fellow world championship medallist Lauren Ellis and 2008 world omnium champion Hayden Godfrey the most experienced riders.

The women's endurance riders include former Waikato rower Jaime Nielsen and the new

national road champion Rushlee Buchanan of Te Awamutu.

The men's endurance squad members are the national Madison champions, Tom Scully of Invercargill and Tinwald's Shane Archbold and Aucklanders Myron Simpson and Aaron Gate.

The Melbourne World Cup trio of Simon van Velthooven from Palmerston North, Adam Stewart of Auckland and Invercargill's Eddie Dawkins lead the men's sprint group, which also includes Auckland's triple world junior champion Sam Webster.
