Belgians aim to move towards showdown

10:49 am on 22 January 2010

The Belgian tennis stars Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters will continue their path towards a possible Australian Open quarter-final clash in Melbourne today.

The unseeded Henin will be looking to continue the impressive form she showed in downing fifth seed Elena Dementieva in the second round in her first grand slam event in two years.

She's playing Alisa Kleybanova in a third round day match at Hisense Arena while on the same court tonight Clijsters will take on another Russian, Nadia Petrova.

The world number two Rafael Nadal faces what looms as his first major test of the event, when he meets German Philipp Kohlschreiber in the opening night match at Rod Laver Arena.
