Erakovic blames lack of killer instinct for early exit from Australian Open

New Zealand's only hope at the Australian Tennis Open, Marina Erakovic, has been bundled out in the first round of the women's doubles.

Marina Erakovic and her Australian partner Casey Dellaqua came out firing but fizzled after the first set losing to the 11th seeded russian pair of Alla Kudryavtseva and Ekaterina Makarova 2-6 6-2 6-1.

Erakovic says the momentum swung in the Russians' favour after she and Dellaqua couldn't capitalise on break point opportunities early in the second set.
