All-Star basketball player Tim Duncan has posted 21 points and a career-high 27 rebounds to guide the struggling San Antonio Spurs to a 105-90 home win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Duncan sank just five of his 20 attempts at the hoop, but he made all 11 of his free throws to help end a three-game losing streak for the Spurs.

Six of the home players scored in double figures, including Frenchman Tony Parker who had to leave the game in the third quarter with a sprained ankle.

The Spurs' win broke Atlanta's three-game winning streak and extended their bad run in San Antonio, where the team has lost 12 matches in a row dating back to their last triumph in 1997.
