Central Districts have claimed the domestic one day cricket title in the final in New Plymouth with a massive 156-run victory over Canterbury.
After making a huge 405 for six after winning the toss and batting first in the Ford Trophy final in New Plymouth, Central bowled Canterbury out for 249.
Opening batsman George Worker top-scored with 159 to set up the massive total, and the Cantabrians never really got going after that, losing regular wickets apart from a 121-run stand for the fourth wicket between Andy Ellis and Todd Astle.

The veteran Ellis strode to the batting crease with his team teetering on 33 for three and when Astle departed for 65, he carried on to make an excellent knock of 101.
But it wasn't enough, with only three other Canterbury team-mates getting into double figures.
