Three new caps in New Zealand test side

Three new caps have been named in the New Zealand test squad to play Bangladesh in a one off cricket test next week in Hamilton.

Batsmen Peter Ingram and Neil Broom come into the squad along with left arm pace bowler Andy McKay.

The Black Caps coach Mark Greatbatch says Ingram's been picked following his good form in domestic cricket, while Broom has been picked on the weight of runs he's scored at provincial level.

Martin Guptill will move down the order which Greatbatch believes will give him a better chance of playing longer innings.

Dropped is Northern Districts batsman Daniel Flynn who played all three tests against Pakistsan but only managed a top score of 29.

Greatbatch says Andy McKay has made the most of his opportunites against Bangladesh in the shorter forms of the game, and will now get the chance to prove himself on the test arena.

The full squad is: Daniel Vettori, Neil Broom, Martin Guptill, Peter Ingram, Brendan McCullum, Tim McIntosh, Andy McKay, Chris Martin, Jetan Patel, Tim Southee, Ross Taylor, Darryl Tuffey, B.J. Watling.
