Warriors hooker Issac Luke has been dropped from the New Zealand rugby league team for Friday night's test against Australia in Newcastle.

Storm prop Jesse Bromwich will captain the side in the absence of injured second-rower Simon Mannering.

With regular captain Mannering sidelined, Bromwich, who debuted in 2012, will lead the side for the first time.
Thirty-six test hooker Luke last week said that he did not deserve to hold his place in the side after a disappointing start to the season with the Warriors.
