Motor sport's world governing body has warned the new Formula One teams U.S. F1 and Campos they'll breach regulations if they are not ready in time for the season-opening race in Bahrain on March 14.

With the newcomers yet to complete their driver lineups or test t he FIA president Jean Todt had said the Concorde Agreement which governs the sport allows teams to miss three races.

However, the FIA has issued a clarification without specifying if sanctions would follow if a team misses a race.

It says any failure to take part, even for just one championship event, would constitute an infringement both of the Concorde Agreement and the FIA regulations.
