The American ski star Lindsey Vonn has revealed a, injury which could force her out of the Vancouver Winter Olympics which start this weekend.
Vonn, the downhill and super-G champion, says she has a badly bruised and possibly fractured right shin that is causing "excruciating pain".
Vonn, who has dominated the world cup season so far, suffered the injury during a training run in Austria last week and hasn't been on the slopes since.
A practice run tomorrow at Whistler will indicate whether she might ski none, all or some of her five planned Olympic races.
