The former Netball New Zealand boss joined the National Rugby League club in July 2013, taking over from current NRL CEO Todd Greenberg.

"Raelene has overseen growth right across the business and the Bulldogs are continuing to thrive on and off the field under her leadership," chairman Ray Dib said.

"Importantly her ability to develop relationships in new markets is broadening awareness of who the Bulldogs are and what we stand for.

"Raelene brings stability to our club as we work towards delivering our key strategic objectives."

Castle had been touted as a potential candidate to take over as the NRL's new CEO, though she says she has unfinished business at the Bulldogs.
